FAÇADE

On hardly any other structural element are so many requirements placed as on the facade. In form and material it has to fit in with the architecture of the house. The size and structure give distinction to the character of the façade. Personal wishes of the constructor also need to be fulfilled such as transparency and a broad outdoor view. But the physical building requirements are also constantly increasing; therefore the very expensive heating should not be allowed to escape because of poor insulation or from inadequate construction. Now that the building pass has become obligatory the facade as well as the masonry and the roof construction play a main part in ascertaining the energy index.
